Who issues FedRAMP authorization?+

An agency Authorizing Official, or the JAB for JAB authorizations, using FedRAMP process and a 3PAO assessment.

Is FedRAMP the same as an agency ATO?+

FedRAMP is the standardized cloud path. Agencies still issue an ATO for their use of the CSO.

How long does Moderate take?+

Often 12–24 months for a first authorization, depending on maturity and 3PAO scheduling.

Do we need High baseline?+

Only if the agency data categorization requires High. Most SaaS starts at Moderate.
